France Has Stepped Up Its Export Of Russian Textiles.

In 2007, Russia ranked the thirteenth customer in the import of French textile products. The export value of textile products from France to Russia increased by 7% compared with 2006.

According to catalogue classification, there are fiber, cotton thread, fabric, knitwear and other textile products exported. The specific growth is cotton thread 14%, coil and knitwear 6%, other household textiles 12%.

Fabric exports have not been out of the woods, down by 9%.


In early 2008, France strengthened exports to Russian textile products, and exports in the first two months of this year increased by 50% compared with the same period last year.

All kinds of products have increased, especially cotton products, which has increased by 120%. Other textiles have increased by 64%, coils and knitwear have increased by 39%, and fabrics have increased by 11%.


On the contrary, the import of textiles and garments from Russia is far from satisfactory, according to the statistics of the French Federation of textile industries.
