Faced with the challenge of industrial technology iteration, he practiced hard with his master during the day, studied professional books at night, and successively obtained pressure vessel operation certificate, senior welder, technician, special equipment operation skill teacher, senior technician and other qualifications. After work, he secretly pressured himself, overcame interference, and studied hard. Through self-study, he obtained a bachelor's degree from the PLA Information Engineering University. He not only became a model of "knowledge-based workers", but also won the second batch of Chinese textile artisans, He'nan Province model workers, the National May Day Labor Medal, the 10th Henan Province technical experts Technical expert of China Machinery Industry Group, the seventh batch of chief technicians of China Machinery Industry Group, special allowance of the State Council and other honors.

　　 In the field of precision welding, he pursues the definition of "ultra precision" with "millimeter level" - in the argon arc welding workshop, strong ultraviolet radiation and noise are everywhere, and it is also necessary to precisely control the arc temperature of tens of thousands of degrees. Generally, the error of weld appearance inspection is allowed to be 2 mm, but he simply refers to the standard as 1 mm; In the face of key components, it challenges the limit of 0.1mm, and constantly refreshes the requirements of high-precision parameters for cold welding parts of textile machinery.

　　 "The value of skilled workers is to turn the 'impossible' into the 'possible'." Guo Chao led the team to promote the application of horizontal cold wire TIG welding machine. Through the recording, analysis and comparison of various parameters of the new equipment, the overall performance of the machine was optimized, and the welding speed was increased from 140mm/min to 320mm/min, The efficiency has been increased by 1.5 times, providing strong technical support for the rapid production of chemical fiber products of the company. In the Lyocell project, he led the front-line technical team to cooperate with the designers to carry out project research, improve the glue pipeline welding process, and develop the welding method and process parameters, so as to form a pipeline welding method to be popularized in all welding posts, so that the weld reinforcement of the inner pipe wall formed by single side welding and double side molding is controlled within 0.7mm, which is convenient for polishing to roughness of 0.8 after welding, and X at a time The qualification rate of radiographic inspection is more than 99%, which greatly improves the product quality and production efficiency, and accumulatively reduces the cost and increases the efficiency of the company by more than 10 million yuan.

　　 In 2020, with the outbreak of COVID-19, Guo Chao volunteered to lead a team to tackle the production task of medical protective clothing layering machine. He stayed in the workshop for 17 consecutive days, optimized the welding process, and delivered three batches of 160 sets of equipment, winning valuable time for epidemic prevention and supply protection. The maximum pressure of the melt pipe inside the spinning box of the company is up to 450 kg (the pressure of the general tap water pipe is 5 kg, and the pressure of the liquefied gas cylinder is 15 kg). There are nearly 10000 weld junctions for 11 vehicles. Guo Chao led the team members to improve the welding quality inside and outside the weld by using multi-layer and multi pass welding, group welding, symmetric welding and other operating methods, and by using effective measures such as reducing heat input, hammering to eliminate stress, etc. After the hydraulic test, the welding was successful without any leakage, which won the unanimous praise of international supervision and technical experts.

　　 In June 2018, "Guo Chao Model Worker Innovation Studio" was established. At the same time, reasonable suggestions such as the three-step method of stainless steel sheet depilation, the method of stainless steel sheet bumping and scratching treatment are also proposed to tackle the bottleneck problems in the production process. Through the joint efforts of everyone, the production efficiency of the team has been significantly improved, and the product quality has also been effectively guaranteed.
